BIRTHDAYS...BIRTHDAYS

Saturday was Darla's Birthday.

and a bunch of us got together on Saturday to celebrate!

We went to dinner at rock bottom and walked around downtown just soaking up Charlotte....

Something none of us do quite often enough.  It is such a beautiful place and i am so glad that we were all back in one city getting to spend this beautiful Saturday night together!

it is always so vibrant and the people are always having such a good time!

We had a wonderful time and it was nice to get together with these ladies and just cut loose and have a good time! =)  I hope you had a wonderful birthday Darla!!

Sunday we had a surprise dinner for beck when she came home since she had been in Disney World all week (LUCKKYY) and had been in the car for umpteen hours we decided to cook her a special dinner... =)

We had a wonderful time!!

Though we did not take any pictures this particular night i know there will be some to come very soon!

GRADUATION!!!!!!!!

She Finally did it!!!!

She is now graduating from Western Carolina's School of Nursing!!

Saturday Becks and I are packing up the car and making the journey to Asheville to watch this girl graduate!

She started out at UNCC with us and even though she transferred schools... which might I add we were not to happy about.... she has still remained one of our very close friends! =)

She is going to be an amazing Nurse I just know it!

With her thick southern drawl and being the loving person she is I know ALL of her patients will just LOVE her to death!!!

I am so proud of you Steph for always being true to yourself, working so hard and being the amazing young woman you are!

I know you will do great things with your life and this is only the beginning!

Congratulations Steph!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a wonderful day.

Beck and I were finally at home.....on the same day...... at the same time!!

So we decided we would take on a few tasks.

&&

Have a FUN productive day.

So first off we decided we needed to do something we haven't done in YEARS.....

Dye Easter Eggs

We put them in a cute bowl and we are now semi-decorated for Easter =)

Then we had a bit of a sweet tooth.... so we made these yummy things

Veryyyy Yummy if I do say so myself!
anddd it hit the sweet tooth!

Then we decided to go to Lowe's and buy a few things for our porch.

We love flowers and we want to test out our thumbs to see if they are green or black!

So we set out to Lowe's.... which I could spend ALL day there if I might add!!

I love going to Lowe's for some reason it brings me back home.

The smell reminds me of my dad

and a stress free Sunday afternoon!

So at Lowe's I bought a baby hydrangea plant & Beck bought some beautiful Lilies!

We got 2 pots, a bag of potting soil & a can of spray paint!

Take a look at those tables... before today they were a whitish/yellowish color.

We gave them a nice coat of the spray paint and now they look good as new!

They were in some dire need of some TLC & look like totally new tables!

This is what I can't wait for.
Though I know it will be a while!

Surprise Birthday Dinner

Tomorrow is my birthday.

My 23rd Birthday and since I have to work my roommate (B.) planned a surprise birthday dinner for me last night.

I had no idea where we were going.

All I knew was that I needed to be dressed and ready by 6:15.

B. & I had had a wonderful day we went to church and listen to an awesome message.

We came back had a small bite to eat for lunch and then went and meandered around Target & World Market.

oh and pets mart where she bought her 3rd fish since August.

(this time its a gold fish)

We played Tennis.

which she told me a look like I'm trying to hit a home run every time I swing.

(softball born and bread.)

I will have to say I was better than I thought I was going to be though!

Back to dinner.....

before I finished getting ready there was a knock at the door.........

 and when I opened the door it was.....

yes you guessed it...

Ms. S

I was sooo surprised and so excited to see Ms. S!!

It really meant a lot that she took the time away from her family since she just lost her Great Aunt a few days ago.

So we set out for our adventure.

then a few short minutes after we sat down. J showed up!

=) I was so excited to see here because I thought she was working!

B. did a great job of letting me think that this dinner was just going to be her & I.

Ms. S got me my favoirte bottle of wine and a super sweet card!

This is what the walls looked like it was sooo awesome!!!

J got me this beautitful bead to go on my pandora!

B. Said i had to wait for my real birthday to get my gift.

even though all the work she did for the dinner and the bill was WAY MORE than enough!

now that im older i realize its not about what you get from people its the realtionships and the time you spend with them that makes it all worth while!  Having us all together for my birthday is all the gift I could have ever asked for.

Even though we were missing one of us.

Ms. Bizz.

we still talked about her and how much we wished she was with us.

The food was SOOO good and I would recommend this to anyone!!

Oh it was worth every penny!

 I have such great friends and I am so thankful for everything they do for me!!

I am so thankful that these girls are such a big part of my life!

This is where B. & I went yesterday.....

The NASCAR Hall of Fame

It is relatively new to the Charlotte area and yesterday they let the public in for FREE!

So... since we are no longer imprisonated by school we decided to take off and see this new attraction.

I would have to say it was pretty cool.

It had a lot of interesting things about the drivers and NASCAR itself. 

But there were things like hydraulics and car parts that well to be honest I had NO idea what the purpose was.

They have simulation rides and all kinds of fun things to do.

You can see how fast it would take you to change a tire and fill a car up with gas. 

Its really pretty sweet actually.

We were not able to do a lot of the stuff well because it was FREE admission in Charlotte.....need I say more.

I wish I was able to take more pictures but no camera and the phone died after only a few pictures. =(

I just love what the Petty's have done to honor Adam....
